Festival of Trees
My 5th grade art students have been working hard on their 3-D sculptures for the Museum of Arts and Sciences Festival of Trees. I have been asked to design a tree this year and the theme is "NUTCRACKER" which is very near and dear to my heart. I have designed and created ornaments with all students in grades first through fifth. From mice, clocks, and nutcrackers to soldiers and ballerinas our tree will tell the story of that magical night when Clara dreams her wonderful dream. All students will be donating their project JUST for the holiday display and season. Parents need not worry....these works of art are coming home in January for you to keep. I will post more info about days and times to go see your child's work on display at the museum. I cannot wait to see it put together!
